How stable is 2 mm steel sheet?
That depends entirely on how it is fixed. A 2 mm stainless steel sheet can be walkable if the distances between the individual support points are not too large. With large-area structures too, it depends on the support the sheet receives from the substructure. In principle, it is suitable for cladding building facades, but should be fixed at smaller intervals than a plate of 5 mm stainless steel sheet.
Stability is also influenced by whether the sheet is only cut or also bent. Bending reduces its load capacity, so an L-profile made of 2 mm steel must not be loaded as heavily as an unbent plate.
